My Story

Exercise/Strength training has been a part of life without my even noticing. Although, it was not my first passion. Before I left for school in the morning, mom would be doing push-ups at 5 am while I ate cheerios. With my family having many hereditary health issues, such as diabetes, stroke, and hypertension, it was the seed I needed plant. After starting martial arts and then football at a young age, exercise became almost daily for me. And from there I saw the community I was developing around me. I attended Ohio Wesleyan University in 2012 with full intentions of pursuing Veterinary Science. However, after taking a few classes in the Health and Human Kinetics department and playing football for my college I switched my major to Exercise Science. In my Senior year, Dr. Nancy Knop slammed the Essential of Strength Training and Conditioning textbook on the table in front of me and said that’s what I’d be good at. And here I am now! My journey has taken me to work with international sports teams, expecting mothers, active-duty service members, and many more!
My Philosophy
For me, exercise is the ultimate release! It’s helped me plan my day, do my accounting, or forget about all the things stressing me out. And I want to be able to provide that release for other people while also making them healthier. As I started coaching I saw not only athletes suffering from recurring injuries but also the everyday population as well. From there, I decided that I wanted my clients to healthy and durable. And durability comes in all forms. Whether that’s playing with the grandkids and not hurting yourself or being able to play whatever sport you enjoy with minimal concern of suffering a traumatic injury. I’ve learned that everyone wants to enjoy their lives without feeling incapable of partaking in that experience due to declining health or physical inability and want to help them correct both.
